Holding your day in one of the most magical wedding venues in Yorkshire can only add to the occasion.
With the magnificent backdrop of the 13th century Barden Tower, this has to be one of the most historic of Yorkshire civil wedding venues. Steeped in romanticism and charm, this totally unique venue is surrounded by some of the best landscape the Yorkshire Dales can offer.
The photo opportunities are endless, with superb backdrops of the ruin of the once magnificent tower, the Priests House itself, the orchard, the woods and the valley stretching into the distance. The scenery and mystique of the place is dramatic whatever the season, especially the winter months with the dark nights actually complementing the authenticity of the medieval surroundings.
The Priests House is able to offer a small and intimate wedding in the House itself ranging from just yourselves up to 30, or a larger event of up to 70 in the Old Chapel including a full evening reception.

For your first night of marital bliss choose Cairngorm; a double aspect bedroom, Cairngorm is truly the flagship bedroom. Overlooking the grounds of Muckrach, the forestation and mountains beyond. Sit in bed and look to the right to see the Cairngorm mountain and ahead to see the Cromdales. Relax into a superking bed winged in vintage leather, with the luxury of a Hypnos Richmond mattress (with upholstery known as the “God of sleep”), premium pillows and soft white cotton bedding.

We have the ingredients to create your fabulous Highland wedding; a Victorian Shooting Lodge surrounded by Scottish pastureland and mountains, contemporary Scottish décor, dining with Scottish produce entwined in the menus, pipers and even some kilts!

At The Angel House, you have exclusive use of all the reception rooms on the ground floor, half-landing and first floor. If you wish to hire the lavish Best Bedroom suite for the perfect bridal suite or give a special treat for one of your guests then the rates are at the bottom of this page.

Set in stunning grounds, complete with beautiful gardens, the Hog's Back provides a dream Surrey wedding venue. Our two function rooms can be adapted to suit the style you want for your special day.
Perfect for Intimate or Grand Weddings
Bright and airy, the Ballroom on the Park Suite is the larger of our two function rooms and is fully air-conditioned with its own private entrance, private bar foyer and cloakroom facilities. It benefits from plenty of natural light and also features adjustable mood lighting to ensure the perfect ambiance at all times. The suite can seat up to 150 guests for a wedding breakfast and accommodate up to 200 guests for an evening reception. If your event is more intimate you can still take advantage of the suite as it can be adjusted with the use of room partitions to create the perfect setting for most size wedding parties.
The Garden Room and Restaurant offers a more intimate function room and when lit by candlelight can be transformed into an extremely romantic setting. It is ideal for receptions of between 30 and 60 guests and for much smaller parties we can seat everyone around a large oval table. For an evening reception this room can be combined with the restaurant to accommodate up to 150 guests.
Our conservatory has a beautifully draped ceiling and is the ideal venue for a civil ceremony of up to 60 people or a small gathering. With direct access to the gardens the conservatory benefits from natural daylight and picturesque views.
The Garden Room, Conservatory, Park Suite and Ballroom are all licensed for civil ceremonies.
